About Luca
Far, far away exists a country. A place with no WIFI. A place with few people. A place where only thunder and wind raise their voices. They tell stories from the other end of the world, stories they've encountered, people and animals they met. Deep in the evergreen woods, far out in the blue surf. Somewhere there lies this tiny spark that, once you see it, engulfs you completely. Deep inside the fire burns and burns. It never stops. The fire of Adventure.
Luca Jaenichen is an Adventure and Outdoor photographer based in the heart of the alps in Innsbruck, Austria. He is specialized in documenting untamed landscapes and human explorations in these vast and wild environments on ground, in the air and underwater. His work has led him from the cold arctic mountains to the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica. When he picked up his first own camera he was documenting his friends doing sports. He started documenting the progress of the group and soon developed an eager drive to film projects beyond Parkour. After finishing high school he found back his love for hiking and going into the mountains. Only a couple years later he moved to Innsbruck to pursue his dream as a full-time photographer.
Through his photography he wants to inspire others to come along and head into nature and into the unknown. While traveling to all these beautiful and unique locations he soon got confronted with the fragility of most of these places. Luca is now also striving to give those places a voice and to conserve them for the next generations.
With his prints he hopes to bring a little piece of these adventures and moments into peoples homes so they can enjoy the beauty of the Outdoors through his images.
